Yesterday,
Senator Rand Paul delivered a historic, nearly 13-hour long filibuster
to force the Obama administration to reverse course on their policy that
they had the right to use military drone strikes against American
citizens on U.S. soil without due process.
Senator Rand Paul was victorious - and the Obama administration today began to back away from their policy.
But
guess who came in to give cover to Obama today and mercilessly
ridiculed Senator Rand Paul? Why it was none other than John McCain.
Here's what he had to say:

McCain Blasts Rand Paul Over Filibuster

Sen.
John McCain took to the floor of the Senate today and blasted Sen. Rand
Paul for his filibuster last night, saying it entered the "realm of the
ridiculous."
"Calm down, Senator," McCain said, in an apostrophe to Paul. "The U.S. government cannot randomly target U.S. citizens."
McCain,
a staunch foreign policy hawk, said Thursday that Paul's warnings that
the U.S. could target "Jane Fonda" or "people in cafes" bring the debate
into the "realm of the ridiculous."
